Former Seahawks, Ravens RB Alex Collins dies at 28

Former Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins died on Sunday night, the two teams confirmed on Monday.

Collins' death was the result of a motorcycle crash in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, on Sunday night, the Broward County Sheriff's Office announced. Officials said that an SUV started turning left and that, as it crossed the eastbound lanes, Collins' motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the SUV.

Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation.

Collins was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seahawks after a dominant run at Arkansas. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native ran for 1,577 yards and 20 touchdowns in his final season with the Razorbacks, which marked his third straight season with at least 1,000 rushing yards.
