The youngster, real name Claire Hope, reportedly died along with her brother, a statement on Instagram announced. The musician last posted on the social media site in 2018, following the death of rapper XXXTentacion.
The statement, which was unattributed, claimed Tay and her brother had both died suddenly though provided no further information.
When the dad was asked if his daughter and son had died, he reportedly responded: "I'm not going to comment on that right now."
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was just 20-years-old when he was shot dead in his BMW while leaving RIVA Motorsports motorcycle shop on June 18 more than five years ago. One of the gunmen repeatedly shot the musician and the assailants grabbed a Louis Vuitton bag from the car with $50,000 (£40,700) inside before escaping in the SUV, authorities said.
